History BA / Professional Writing MA
Career and Academic Opportunities
The pairing should allow History/MAPW graduates to find employment in a variety of fields, including publishing, education, business, nonprofits, the arts and public service. History majors completing the program will bring expertise in historical thinking and content. With the more recent addition of classes in screenwriting, social media, and web content, MAPW graduates are advancing in the new demand fields, as well.

Admission to Double Owl Requirements:
- KSU GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.
- Completed 60 hours toward the BA in History, with 30 hours at KSU.
- Submit 2 writing samples not to exceed a total of 25 pages. Email to Tony Grooms at tgrooms@kennesaw.edu.
