The Master of Arts in American Studies (MAST) prepares History majors for a wide variety of careers in business, education, government, law, nonprofits, media, communications and marketing, publishing, and the arts. History and MAST students individualize their programs through focused study and practical, project-based learning tied to their own professional needs and interests, allowing them to build an impressive portfolio of skills and experience for potential employers. MAST graduates are innovative, flexible, and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of American history, literature, culture, politics, and society in diverse and transnational contexts, making them attractive to employers.

  • 3.00 KSU GPA
  • 18 hours in residence at KSU
  • 60 hours towards Bachelor of Arts degree in History
  • Submit 1 copy of representative writing samples from one or more genres, not to exceed 25 pages.
