Suggested Timeline

Apply to Double Owl early in Junior year. Apply to Graduate Program in Senior Year by posted graduate program deadline.  Students can be identified in Sophomore year and early Junior year (i.e., once students meet -- or are close to meeting --- credit hour and other requirements).

    • GPA:  3.50 in KSU undergraduate coursework
    • 60 hours completed toward Bachelor’s degree (i.e., BS Criminal Justice degree)
    • 30 hours completed in residence at KSU
  • This Double Owl Pathway offers 4 choices of course pairings from which students can select up to 3 pairings.

    • SW 7706 (Fall only)* to count for CRJU 3301 OR Upper Division Elective OR Related Study
    • SW 7700 (Fall only)* to count for Cultural Diversity Elective OR Upper Division Elective OR Related Study
    • SW 7704 (Fall only)* to count for Upper Division Elective OR Related Study
    • SW 7702 (Spring only) to count for Upper Division Elective OR Related Study

*It is recommended that Double Owl students do not complete all three of the courses offered in the fall semester as this will prevent them from meeting full-time status/financial aid requirements during the first fall semester in the MSW graduate program (if accepted into the program). If Double Owl students plan to complete 9 credit hours in the pathway (3 courses), it is recommended that they complete the spring course option and complete only two of the fall course options.
